I've always loved those pieces with elaborate decorative borders, espacially when some of the content refuses to stay behind that border. This piece came from that love, combined with what was then a recend decision the The Story would be something along the lines of an illuminated manuscript. I'm not sure why, but this piece looks so much better in the scan, things are sharp and clear.

The Fitting was mostly just an excuse to paint the border, it just needed to be the thing inside the edges, but I do like it. the bright colorful dress is fun, and Alyce has bare feet! The one thing I wish was different was that the paint got loaded up on the dress, and I couldn't get it off, so it left that splotchy effect.
